DOG ART - WATERCOLOR

I've always loved dogs and became seriously interested in them while still in my teens. I began reading about breed histories, conformation, canine health and behaviour as well as training techniques. With the help of friends who owned a kennel, I began to show my first dog, a tri-color collie, and it was at the dog shows that I first began to blend my love of dogs and my love of drawing when I started to sell quick-sketch dog portraits. Through the years, I've continued to learn about the canine mind and the attitudes and conformation standards of the various breeds. Today, I bring my experience, understanding and love of dogs to my dog paintings and portraits.
